Hyperbeam is a nimble animation studio led by director Kai Higham. Functioning fluidly between solo practice and full-scale production house, Hyperbeam adapts to the needs of each project — whether that means Kai handling everything from storyboard to final delivery, or assembling a bespoke team from a trusted network of top-tier designers and animators.
You’ll find Hyperbeam’s work lighting up Rod Laver Arena during the Australian Open, in George Watsky’s DOT XXX music video, and across campaigns for brands like Grill’d, Cotton On, University of Melbourne, and IAG — to name a few.
The Stawell Underground Physics Laboratory in collaboration with The University of Melbourne are working on research to verify the theory of Dark Matter. This research takes place 1 kilometer beneath the earths surface in a retired mine shaft where the laboratory has been constructed.
This video was designed to explain this research in a bite sized synopsis for general audiences and explore interesting ways to showcase the theorized functions and motion of particles that we are yet to understand.
