About

Hyperbeam is a nimble animation studio led by director Kai Higham. Functioning fluidly between solo practice and full-scale production house, Hyperbeam adapts to the needs of each project — whether that means Kai handling everything from storyboard to final delivery, or assembling a bespoke team from a trusted network of top-tier designers and animators.

You’ll find Hyperbeam’s work lighting up Rod Laver Arena during the Australian Open, in George Watsky’s DOT XXX music video, and across campaigns for brands like Grill’d, Cotton On, University of Melbourne, and IAG — to name a few.

DR Golden Ticket

We partnered with Darkroom to help launch their new Chocolate Bar Mockup, creating a playful campaign video to support a limited-edition promotion—1 in every 100 bars included a golden ticket offering lifetime access to Darkroom’s full mockup range.

We brought the golden ticket idea to life in a way that felt true to the Darkroom aesthetic: tactile, industrial, and rooted in process. By imagining a stylised production line, we gave the digital product a sense of physicality—bridging the gap between real-world packaging and Darkroom’s highly crafted virtual mockups.
