Wax Cult

Wax Cult is a series of images exploring material creation lighting and composition. It centers on a custom material we built to be gold streaked through wax.

We made use of 3D scans of famous sculptures to be the canvas for this exploration. Then the task was to map this material on to them and light them in a way that gave life and personality to the form in this new context.
